The company acquired Artisense which is a spin-off from the Technical University of Munich in October 2021, to accelerate SLAM development. With Kudan’s Visual SLAM, robots can possess robust and accurate positioning in indoor and semi-outdoor areas, while its 3D Lidar SLAM is applicable in both indoor and outdoor areas.
Both Kudan's Visual SLAM and 3D Lidar SLAM will later be built into Movel AI’s Seirios and will be easily accessible by Movel AI’s end users across the globe. Seirios' seamless deployment and sleek UI will allow everyone, even non-tech users, to enjoy the performance capabilities of Kudan's KdVisual and KdLidar software. Through Seirios FMS, Movel’s robotic navigation solution for fleet management, the benefits of Kudan’s localization and mapping can be scaled efficiently across robotic fleets.
Additionally, Kudan is able to offer their clients across the globe a combined localization, navigation and fleet management solution through its partnership and joint product with Movel AI.
